Studio MD is a multidisciplinary firm that provides services of design and development led by Mauricio Duk. Our associates share a collective experience that encompasses different typologies of buildings including residential, institutional, commercial, planning and transportation; employing new materials, digital practices and technologies that deliver an environmentally sustainable work.
Mauricio Duk
Mexican architect, and AIA International Associate with 30 years of experience both independently and as a Project Architect with recognized studios in Mexico and USA.
With studies from Universidad La Salle and after obtaining a grant by the MAK Center, LA in 2002, he founded Studio MD in Los Angeles, CA where he leads the design and development of high-end residential and mixed-use projects.
Throughout his career, he has collaborated with some of the most successful developers in the metropolitan area of Los Angeles for a combined portfolio that exceeds $100M. His work has been instrumental in every step of the development process, from the selection of properties and feasibility analysis, design development, entitlement process and construction administration.
In recent years he has expanded the reach of Studio MD to provide interior design services, owner representation, real estate acquisition, financial assessment and development.
His creative approach for challenging projects is pragmatic and based on a deep understanding of construction systems, financial processes and a modern design sensitivity.
